BLACKSTUFF is not a band; it acts like an agency but does not charge an agency fee. You pay only for the band at their own gig rate.

As many working musicians perform with more than one band they are able to support each other to aim for greater availability.

BLACKSTUFF takes its name from the acclaimed Blackstuff ceilidh band (the members of which have now moved on to other successful musical ventures). MICK KAYLOR, the founder member of the Blackstuff ceilidh band, administers this site. He now continues to perform with REELDEEL and SHINANIGINS supported by talented guest musicians and undoubtedly some of the best dance callers in the North East.
